This isn’t just a fig, wine and honey cake, this is Dan Lepard’s fig, wine and honey cake. (Yeah I don’t know who he is, but he seems like a nice man and I’m told he’s an artisan baker, so that’s good.)
I bought fresh figs at the market with the intention of using them in something fantastic, and then proceeded to collect all the recipes I have that require dried figs. Such as this one. The fresh figs will eventually make it into a clafouti or something. Edit: or the bin. I hesitated too long.
